“Danser encore”, Flash Mobs Between Orchestrated Spontaneity and Heterogeneous Motivations

In the context of the pandemic, the song Danser encore was used in thousands of gatherings in the public space in France and worldwide. The analysis of video recordings of these flash mobs and the interviews of some musicians inform us both of the plasticity and the performance of musical and danced forms and the miscellaneous struggles within an apparently spontaneous movement relying on complex organizations.
