Dreams 2.0. Online Communication and Interpretation of Ordinary Dreams

The development of the internet and especially of the web 2.0 has opened up new social spaces where dreams can be written down, shared and commented. After investigating the heuristic value of a large corpus of narrated dreams, the paper presents an exploratory investigation on a French online forum dedicated to dreams and nightmares. It also explores the modalities of communication of the dream experiences on this new medium, the reasons that motivated their publication and the main types of interpretations used by the internet users.
