What happens when a public works underwater diver, trained to work under the water, happens to operate under the ground and thus is made to work in an unknown environment, yet using his familiar equipment? Drawing on a sensorial approach, taking into account the relations between subject, material things and environment, the research explores the socially acceptable limits of hostility, relying on this inexperience of the ground and on the emergence of a “sense of the underground”.
