Human rights and the “pot au noir”

By entering positive law, human rights expose not only internal contradictions, but also external conflicts emerging among the practical reasons which inspire them. These contradictions and conflicts could lead us into the “pot au noir”, this mythical place where ships, caught in violent storms and worlwinds, could sink.
