Jews from Libya who had been forced to leave the country in 1967, in the aftermath of the Six-Day War settled in Rome, homeland to the Roman Jewish community for two millennia. The “rugged encounter” between the two groups shows an interesting combination in composing memories and re-shaping identities in the public sphere.
