A Real Experience
Practicing a More Participatory Sociology
By Isabelle MauzEnglish
Sociologists rarely interact with respondents after the interviews. This situation becomes problematic with the spread of Internet use and the evolution of academic research, which leads researchers to work with and for some of their interviewees. This text presents a concrete experience of continued exchanges following the interviews. It aims to show the value of such experiences, in different situations, without advocating the adoption of a new rule.
