Between Detachment and Attachment to Earth

The Researcher and his Biography
By Yves Dupont
English

By questioning the dialectical relationships connecting researchers to their biography, the author highlights the decisiveness of his “primordial experiences” in the way he built his own identity, in his intellectual journey, in choices he made regarding his research objects. By doing this, he strives to show that beyond the disciplines and methods he used, he mainly sought to give an interpretation to the anthropological foundations of modernity, that is to say its boundless passion for the way we are torn from the Earth and for the artificialization of Life.
