Crisis Times and Ordinary Times

A Research Itinerary Next to the Institution
By Geneviève Decrop
English

Through the account of a research trajectory, this text offers a personal reading of institutions and reality. The division of the latter in two opposite categories, ordinary and exceptional, rules our representation of the world, and also our practical, political and social organisations. Starting from the key-event of the genocide and Nazi concentration camps system, this interpretation can be applied to different topics such as collective risks prevention, natural or industrial disasters readiness, and victimization studies.
