How Shame Develops in Children

When dealing with reputation, we are dealing with the issue of identity. The calculation that is the constitutive element of reputation is indeed a calculation about the value of the identity of an individual or of a group. In this article, the development of identity in children is discussed, trying to capture what might motivate the human child to develop a sense of reputation, this unique human propensity to be concerned with the evaluative gaze of others.
