My 1976 text, La Région, espace vécu, is compared to reflections on “places” starting from Normandie sensible (2009) onwards. So the 1976 first paragraphs on housing and on a typology of the spaces are thus extended. More space is now given to “sensitivity” after focusing on the economic long ago as a dominant structure. A reflection about “space as vertigo”–?vertigo of the mutations of society, mobility, and virtuality, of time and space reunited–?ends the paper. A dialectic relationship imposes itself between the real and the imaginary.
