The Place as an Exemplary Figure of the New Territorial Order
By André Micoud
English
From two themes, that of the “local figure” and that of “utopia that takes place,” the author considers the place as a product of an effort to make it original. Using two concrete examples, in the town and in the countryside, that use the figure of “etabli” (according to the meaning offered by the Maoiste French movement), he argues that it is possible to find the theoretical foundations of legitimacy in statu nascendi of the new nascent territories in local initiatives which are presented as alternatives.
