Paul Celan, A Unique Poetry

Staging Paul Celan’s poetry appears as a challenge to theatrical performance. It commits us to a crossover or to an experience. Indeed, how can we stage a spacing which seems to belong to the secret and hardly obvious movement of writing? We will first indicate what makes the peculiarity of this poetry and, secondly, how it challenges the actor’s own approach to dramaturgy as well as his own practice.
