Stage Writing
By Philippe Minyana
English
There are three major periods in Philippe Minyana’s theater: the importance given to logorrhea, maximalism, and monologue during the 1980s; the switchover to minimalism and the appearance of the fragment and the segment during the 1990s; and, finally, the year 2000 saw a return to the first name and a dive into the surreal. It’s all his conception of stage writing that is defined with the importance given to form and the possible change of the narrative format.
